We may be biased, but this is one of our favourite projects. The brief was to design a landscape scene inspired by the Yorkshire Dales, which feels genuinely idyllic! This project holds a special place in our hearts since acou.space is based in Leeds. The design team had a lot of fun working with four different artists, felt tones and arranging the scene to add the much-needed depth required to create a sense of scale. The minimal illustration style and the interlocking pieces resulted in a desirable outcome that our client was delighted with.

Working closely with biophilic interior designer Lisa Norton from Harrogate Garen Design to bring outside in with acoustic solutions. The acoustic tree trunk and leaf elements create an immersive, nature-inspired environment while delivering high-performance sound absorption. The design team custom-created a variation in leaf shapes, sizes, and colours to enhance the organic aesthetic, fostering a dynamic and natural atmosphere.

This project was specifically created for a church based in the heart of Leeds. Working with the church leadership team, we made a print that they felt represented the city that their congregation is a part of. We love the storytelling of history, locality, and worship through colour, texture, and graphics.
We also must mention that this project kick-started the acou.space journey. Allowing acou.space the freedom to create unique acoustics and tell the church's story through form and function. They allowed us to run with the design, trusting us to make a large-scale statement, physically and visually.
We also offer print design. Whether you already have a print design in mind, or want something completely new. Working with you to create a custom print design.

When designing this optician consultation area, our focus was on creating a private, quiet space that felt both stylish and welcoming. Collaborating closely with the interior designer—who had a clear vision for the space—we crafted custom partitions and retrofitted suspension fixings to ensure everything fit perfectly. It was incredibly rewarding to see how seamlessly the final design came together. Custom work isn’t just about creating bold, sculptural pieces (though we love doing that too); it’s about tailoring solutions to fit any project, big or small. So, whatever you have in mind, give us a call—we’d love to bring your ideas to life!

Circus is one of the team's favourite projects to date. It let us delve into sculptural acoustics in a way we have not done before. It's been an area we'd love to explore more at acou.space; the possibilities which arise from thinking beyond traditional acoustic products are a welcomed challenge.
When the interior design team approached us with the concept of an acoustic tree, we were immediately inspired to bring the sculptural and functional elements to life. Using CAD, we crafted organic branches that enhanced the visual impact and provided essential pillar and ceiling support for the suspended branches.

These images are a fabulous summary of the completed scheme at West Riding Primary, and we at acou.space are fullyinvested! A great pleasure to have worked alongside Lisa Norton to create an authentic biophilic interior scheme. These images summarise the importance of introducing nature within our learning (+ living & working!) environments.
Lisa together with the Head Teacher of West Riding Primary, have initiated a revolutionary new concept for specialist schools and places of education. originating from a pure and genuine vision to provide children with the ultimate approach to wellbeing and learning.

sound control is an important aspect of biophilic design, and especially relevant for school education within the special needs sectors for young people.
It has been a tremendous privilege to design and supply various acoustic finishes reducing reverberation (echo) within various areas of the school. The finishes have created a tangible difference to the children’s learning and well being as well as creating an aesthetically pleasing environment utilising a true biophilic ethos.
working closely with the biophilic interior designer, different classrooms and the communal breakout space were furnished with sustainable and acoustic finishes designed and supplied by acou.space to create calm areas for children and staff.

When tasked with this design, the client provided three keywords: Angular, Futuristic, and Tech. We crafted a sculptural, two-tone jigsaw hanging raft to capture the essence of a cutting-edge digital technology provider. Designed to stack in multiples, this piece is a striking visual centrepiece that absorbs localised sound. Ideal for over-desk spaces and meeting tables, it seamlessly blends functionality with art to create an innovative acoustic solution.
