Acoustic felt products designed and supplied by acou.space are strong yet soft, sound-reducing material manufactured from 100% polyester fibre, of which a minimum of 65% is manufactured from recycled PET (polyethene terephthalate) bottle flake. It is both recycled and can be further recycled. All polyester is non-absorbent, and because of this, dust, dirt, and liquid will settle between and NOT into the fibres.

Dust:

  • Vacuum. Set the vacuum cleaner to the lowest setting and gently remove surface dust from the product's surface.

  • Be careful not to pull on fixings whilst vacuum cleaning.

Stain Removal:
General water-based stains:

  • Prompt action! Do not leave the stain to dry into the fibres.

  • Use plenty of water to dilute the stain.

  • Do not scrub the surface as this will cause pilling and raise the surface of the felt.

  • Most stains can be easily removed by transferring the stain from the surface onto a clean absorbent soft cotton cloth or paper towel by blotting.

  • Blotting will prevent the unwanted substance from being returned to the product or pushed further into the fibres.

  • Allow all surfaces to dry naturally.

  • DO NOT apply water near to electrical sources.

Oil-based stains:

• Dilute oil-based stains with water and detergent. (try on a small unobtrusive area first)

Summary:

  • Vacuum — Gentle/low speed

  • Waterborne stains — Dilute, blot, air dry

  • Oil-based stains — Dilute detergent with clear water – blot – air dry

  • Permanent marker and biro inks. — Treat as soon as possible. Apply MX14 as directed
